I'm not sure how I should answer this. We were actually saving up for Premier Passes starting in September, but now I think we'll do consecutive APs at Disneyland and then Disney World instead of concurrent with the Premier. One factor was the price increase ($370*3+tax=ouch!), but the other was trying to squeeze enough trips into school breaks since the kids are starting to get nervous about missed work at school. I don't mind taking them out, but now they mind.

I feel like it's just a way of life, and you pay a premium price for the premium experience that Disney provides. I certainly wish it was cheaper so we could go more often, but I also wish that the local hotels weren't so expensive (I feel like most of the closest good neighbor hotels are waaay overpriced for what you get!) It's not something that I personally spend a lot of energy being upset about- just gotta adjust the budget!

I feel like a lot of people are probably looking at it this way.

Right?! I took days off left and right when I was a kid. They just don't want to have to make up the work they missed all at once, I guess. And, I think their teachers make them feel guilty.

As an annual passholder, the price increase makes me want to go even more. And goodness am I glad that I renewed my pass early, on Christmas Day! Just a couple weeks later and it would’ve been $250 more... I upgraded on Xmas from Signature to Signature Plus, and it looks like even with the price increase, I’d only need to go about 8 times in the year to break even. For a SoCal resident who drives everywhere, the free parking is no small matter either. It’s actually the main reason I go for the higher passes with parking included! If I had a pass but had to pay for parking every time, I know I would go far less: $25 a pop for parking hurts! — especially when going for just a half day, like many of us passholders do. Having maxpass included adds up as well, as do the 20% food and merch discounts...

Disneyland Price Increase

As long as people are willing to pay the price they will increase. They are not a charity organization, they’re in it to make money and lots of it.

I visit once a year. December to be exact. I’m kinda bummed on the increase as far as the tix and parking go. Adding up the price increases for my trip, changing nothing the price increase on my end is 80 bucks before tax. So there goes a good amount of pocket cash going to increase rather than for pretzels and sodas
